We are very proud to announce that our Southern Recycling project won the Awards of Excellence for Southwest Council at the Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana/Kentucky’s Excellence in Construction Awards Gala.

 

This “state of the art” project was the first greenfield recycling center constructed in the United States in almost four decades. Although the 62,500 sf of structures are visually identifiable, it was the 104,000 cubic yards of earth to be moved and over 14,000 cubic yards of site concrete that made this project unique. As Southern Recycling’s needs changed, so did our construction schedule and sequencing. A month into the project, we were informed that the five acre lay-down yard would need to be ready to receive scrap months earlier than originally planned. Our team revised the construction schedule and delivered upon our client’s needs. With an extremely aggressive to market deadline looming, our team at Stewart Richey worked tirelessly to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
